Quaker meetings encourage the use of their meeting houses to serve and benefit the local community. Quakers have a testimony to equality – an unshakeable conviction that all people should be treated equally, irrespective of race, religion, class, gender, sexual orientation, or physical or mental activity. We hope anyone hiring the meeting house will be in sympathy with this ethos. In accordance with our lettings policy, we may ask for some explanatory background from groups or individuals seeking to book for the first time. Terms and conditions can be seen here. Among the regular hirers of the meeting house are yoga, meditation, counselling, dancing, adult education, opera, Buddhist and local authority training and support groups.
